In this video, you will learn how to and why it is so important to call for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as quickly as possible, should someone suffer from a knife injury. Even if you are out of credit, or have no service, as long as there is signal from one network, you can still alert the EMS. Call either 999 or 112, and 112 can be used throughout Europe.

On the phone, tell them what has happened and where you are. These are the two most important things to say immediately. You can always put the phone on speaker phone if necessary, so that you can carry out first aid. The person on the phone will stay on the call with you until the ambulance arrives, and will give you useful instructions to help you carry out proper First Aid.
